This post brought to you by my new hit single "Nothin' Ravey to Wear" In stores now.
Oh, hi more than a month late Acen post! =D Yes I fail horribly at life and updating my livejoural. For quite a while after I got back from Chicago and the con it was nothing but work, work, work around here. Since both my lackeys quit over a month ago and my nonchalant 'I'll get around to it eventually' boss was in no big hurry to hire anyone to replace them I've been working massive amounts of overtime lately. I was working six days straight and crashing on the one day a week I did have off. He finally got someone hired last week and I actually got a whole two days off this week. Gleeeee!

The con was indeed all kinds of ridiculous amounts of fun. A few of the more notable highlights, I confused the guys that were chefs in the hotel restaurant for people cosplaying as the guys from Antique Bakery and almost asked for their pictures...glad I didn't now, but they were kind of cute so maybe I should have. People seemed to really like my costume, amazingly enough. I got a lot of requests for pictures...oh god, I'm probably all over the internet now... I claim deniability! I was never there! The most fun was just hanging out with people in general and getting the chance to meet up with people I've only talked to online before. There's no reason why we need a con to hang though! I'm thinking day trip to St. Louie soon, what do you say guys? 8D *does the 'Call me' thing with her hand*

In other news, I got older and we had an awesome 80s party with 80s cartoons, pizza and coloring books to celebrate the fact Sara and I are now one year closer to death. Thanks to everybody that came btw, it was a blast! 8D We'll have to do it again sometime when we're not celebrating the fact that I'm dying. Back during the first week in June I tired to go to a Testicle Festival, so I could finally get the chance to try some Denver Nuggets, something I've decided I need to do before I die. But by the time I got there, they had already run out of testicles and the town that it was in had effectively turned into a drunken hang out for bikers and biker mamas. Sara said that if I buy some then we can try frying them up at her place and have our own little Testicle Festival. If anybody else wants to be crazy and try some too, let me know and I'll give you a heads-up before we do it.

I'm apparently going to Hawaii next month, don't ask me how that happened because I'm not even sure, which unfortunately means I probably can't make it to AnimeIowa in August, which I had been planing on going to. More then likely I will get a third degree sunburn, fall in a volcano and get eaten by a shark while I'm there, but I'll try to send everyone postcards before that happens though.

I can't think of anything else of importance really going on so...

I'm pretty certain we had the most amazing group of Resident Evil 4 cosplayers ever assembled in one place together for the first time.
Looking pretty classy there guys!

Why does my camera suck so much!
You might want to look behind you there, Nick.

Singin' in the Rain.
Okay, so there isn't really any rain.

Cutest Leon and Ada ever. ^_^
Get out of the way, Nick! jk ;P

In which I fail at the cute.
Hai there!

Ada getting a little chummy with the mercs. ;D
Well, hello there, boys.

My personal favorite completely ooc picture from the con. &hearts
What's up with that guy behind us though?

Hi, Kelly! *waves*
Myspace photography FTW!

I love you, Chicago, if for nothing else then for this.
Friday Night Food Porn!

Everyone going down on the escalator was part of a 200 or so person conga line that was running around Rick Rolling people with a boom box and bad singing all weekend long. I really should have done a video of it now that I think about it...doh!
Never gonna give you up! Never gonna let you down!

This picture sucks, but it's just here to prove that I actually was backstage during the cosplay contest. How I ended up there...well, that's a whole another story involving states, RPs and sugar highs. Let's just say you just don't even want to go there...
Shut up! That was not me on stage trying to do 70s dance moves during the intermission...

Just for you Jenn. ;P
The best OTPs never get old.

I do wish I had gotten a better picture of that Treize though, his hair was five kinds of awesomeness by itself!
You know you're a true GW fan when you can spell 'Khushrenada' without having to look it up.

Alfred (aka: The United States) from Hetalia wanted to borrow my chainsaw for a bit.
If you don't already know what Hetalia is then DO NOT Goggle it...unless you want to be really hella confused that is.

Why is it that whenever I go to a con there's always creepy murals around? 0_o
He kind of looks like Dick Clark actually...and is that Abe Lincoln sitting at the table behind him?

After the con I headed out to the horse track with Kristin. I'll spare you all the fifty bazillion pictures I took there and just give you a few of the better ones. I found out I'm not that great, but not that bad either, at picking winners. I usually better at it when I'm just going with my gut feeling instead of when I'm actually trying to handicap. I really should listen to my own advice and NEVER BET ON A FAVORITE! I think we ended up spending twenty bucks and winning about ten, so it wasn't a total loss anyway.

"Riders up!"
That's what she said.

Come on, Dover! Move your bloomin' arse!
We probably bet on number one there since it's gray.

Under the Grandstand.

I always feel bad for the jockeys that have to wear the pink silks. I don't know why, they might even like pink.
Turf race. The pink one is in the middle of the pack there.

I saw this one lone windmill out in the middle of Nowhere Illinois when I was driving back home and decided to stop and take a picture.
What's that?

Then I found out I could drive right up to it!

And because I'm officially suppose to be an old, crazy cat lady now, here's a couple pictures of my cats doing cat like things.

Virgil pretending to be cute in the hammock.
Don't be fooled by that face though...behind those big eyes lurks pure evil.

Head noms!
This is begging to be macroed, but I'm too lazy to do it myself.

Virgil again, with his classic, "Why the hell aren't you petting me right now, slave?" look.
OMG! Look at all that cat hair.

That should be about it for now I think. Countdown to the new Transformers movie, 11 hours 45 mins! Damn it all! If I didn't have to work tomorrow morning I would SO be at the midnight showing tonight for 2 hours and a half of an explosive assault to my scenes by way of Micheal Bay's horrible directing. As it is, I'll probably end up seeing to tomorrow as soon as I get off work. Expect a review of that movie VERY SOON! Later all!

Yay! One more for the testicle festival! 8D

Oh and Sara wanted to know when you might be up for going to see the Star Trek movie. I can't do it Thursday or Friday, but I'm free pretty much any other night of the week.

Oh this is the one night I can't (well, Friday too, assuming I'm still invited?) and come to think of it, I'm supposed to be at the Drunkard Invitational - you two should just go without me since I might go tomorrow. Or not since it's not at Forum anymore and I don't really like Hollywood over waiting for it on Netflix... I'm not sure if I'll go at all. I do kind of want to see Up though if you might be interested...

Yeppers, I was there all weekend and had a great time! It was more fun then a barrel full of monkeys, as they say...though I never understood why a barrel of monkeys would be considered fun... I kept looking for you, but if you were only there for 20 mins then I'm not surprised I missed you.

I was going to e-mail you before I left to see if you were going to be there, then totally forgot to do it in the frantic last min push to get everything packed and ready to go. >.>; I might be in Chicago again some time before the summer is out and if I am maybe we can do lunch or something. 8D Do lunch...? Oh, god I am getting old... XP

Sorry it took so long to get the pictures up! I was going to do it the day after I got back, then things started snowballing out of control at work and I never really had the chance to sit down and sort through all the pics I took until today.

Nick said to bug you for the address of the website of the guy who was taking pictures at the RE photoshoot, soooo...*poke poke poke*

And don't give in to my cats supposed cuteness like the rest of them. Like most cats, it's all just a cover for something much more sinister. ;P
